Inspired by Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya and The Bear, Lonely TWOgether explores themes of love and loss from classical texts while studying the actor's being in the act of acting. 

Lonely TWOgether is the debut project of Homo Ludens Ensemble since 2016. With two actors playing four roles from the rich text of Chekhov, we are exploring relationship between the characters, the actors and human beings. Furthering this exploration, we brought the project to different cities with actors from different cultural backgrounds, and have hence made two versions in Beijing and Taipei.
